Kwe did. Ours always turned out ugly.Honestly, I always dyed brown eggs. The color always seemed a lot more vibrant- you might give it a shot and see if you’re happy with it
We love our Anconas! Good personality, consistent layers, hardy (even with a big comb in the cold), bright & energetic. Their eggs are slightly smaller than most chickens especially at first but they do just fine. I've tried leghorns before but didn't like their personalities. We have brown, green, blue, and cream egg layers, but for easter we want white eggs, but don't want to have to buy them. So what is the best white egg layer thats also relatively affordable to buy?
Sorry if thia post doesn't go here.
I love my Dorking’s! They lay lots of bright white eggs and are so sweet and sillyWe did more research and decided to go most likely for the off white layers, the dorking.

I have Sicilian and Anconas for white eggs to dye, but now I really like their personality, they are also a small size bird, so eat less and poop less, but lay like crazy. And they usually cost about 2.99$
