What will do this?

I lost a male Guinea last night, before 3:45AM. He roosts in a tree with two other males. He is laying almost directly below where he roosts. He was laying on his back and there are almost no feathers on the ground. What few are there are around where the head and neck use to be. I am assuming he did not die of old age and fall off the limb. I am guessing something got him out of the tree and took the head after he was on the ground.

What will take the head only?

Raccoons and foxes are both known for beheadings.

UPDATE !
I did not look out again until around 7:45 AM. When I did the carcass was gone. ??
When the guineas or Chickens make noise I hear them from my office room. I have been in there since 3:45 AM.

I think an owl killed it and another predator took him. Owls only take the neck and head. Put up a camera and see what may be lurking. Good luck...
