What will this cross give me?

Well obviously it will give me the biggest mutts of the chicken world haha... but I was wondering what would happen if I hatched some eggs that my Yellow Sex Link roo fertilized?
Would they still be Sex-linked chicks (the hens are various pure breeds, not sex links)? Would they be good layers or would they be just mutts?
I don't want to sell my chicks (well just the roos), they would just be there to expand my flock and for fun.
Would I be better off getting a 'pure breed' roo? Hes an abnormally loud roo so I was thinking of getting a pure breed roo that isnt as loud saying my neighbors who are a good 1/4 mile away or so from the coop complain they can hear him in the morning.

Sex links are from what I understand already a mix. RIR with something else. They are great layers so you could get good layers from him, but it also depends on what your hens are. My opinion is though it might make it easier to sell your chicks (roos or pullets) if they are pure breed. On the other hand you could still sell them as a sex-link since they are a cross. OK my answer didn't help to much did it.

No, you will not get sexlinked chicks when using sexlinks in a breeding.

No the off spring from your sex link will not be sexlinks.
If you are not selling them though and just doing for funn and for your own use , why not hatch some .Some mutts are really really cute and great egg layers .
