I'm adding two ducks to the flock so depending on how Victor reacts to the other ducklings, I might let them meet sooner, but very limited so they don't imprint on him. I'm still betting on him being scared of the ducklings!

Victor has gotten so broody (stopped laying 3 days ago) that he actually got out of the bathtub to try to get back to his eggs. He's never tried to get out of the tub before today. He knew he was in trouble when I saw him on the bathroom floor and he immediately jumped back in the tub!

it was funny to hear about victor knowing he was in trouble and jumping back in the tub.

The ducklings are due either today or tomorrow. I'm keeping fingers crossed for today

i'm holding little Norie (my female black runner duckling) as I type this.

Victor ended up ignoring the ducklings at first and just kept sitting on his eggs. They didn't really want anything to do with Victor as they've already imprinted on people.

Ming Mei on the other hand was lonely and visiting victor in the nest box. She did not like the ducklings and tried to attack them (Nettie kept them afe). Once victor saw Ming Mei attacking them he noticed the ducklings and ran away in terror.

I'll be posting pictures of my Norie and her sister Moxy (blue runner) soon. (I need to spend some quality time with them first!!!)
