What will we get?

Attempting our first hatch.

We have a New Hampshire Red Rooster with a Barred Rock, 2 Golden Comets, and 2 EE. What will the chicks look like? Will our success rate drop because of the mixed breads?

Hatching success will not be adversely affected by the cross, if anything it will be better, but there is no telling what the chicks will look like, they could look a lot like the parents or completely different in size shape & color

females from the barred rock and red roo will be black with red necks, the EE's will be reddish brown when older but will have the chipmunk colors as chicks. the EE offspring will lay some shade of green egg, even with a red father. this is from my experience with similar birds.
