Any body ever crossed a Silkie with a D'Uccle? (Any types of Silkies or D'Uccle would be fine.) Please post pics!

Never done the cross but I can tell you basicly what you'd get.

The color would depend on the Silkie you use, but it would be smooth feathered but carring one copy of the silkie feathering gene, not mottled but carring one copy of the mottleing gene, feather footed, body shape should be kind of in between, mostlikely bearded, and may or may not have a small crest and/or dark skin.

Very funny! I don't know about sikie d'uccle, but I have a porcelain d'uccle/spitzhauben cross who is turning out to have some beautiful feathering with a tiny crest and a tiny beard and scan leg feathers. I'll take a pic.....

I was wondering this too XD I'm keeping just a D'uccle roo around and got a pair of silkie chicks - if either of them is a girl - I'm going to be seeing a lot of, "D'Ukie"s. ;D

Funny you should mention this as 2 weeks ago we hatched one out. '

My daughter calls it a SilUccle.

The father is a Lavander D'Uccle and the Hen is a Blue Silkie.
You will note that it did pick up the Silkie black skin and it does have a Walnut comb in this case also it seems to be getting the tail style of the silkie but it will be all with hard feathers. And from the D'Uccle it has the vulture hocks and 4 toes.

Suduku the Siluccle.

and beside a Blue Millefleur chick from the same hatch.

You might get something like my little Rooster, Simon.
His mother was a Mille Fleur and his Father was a white Silkie. Some of his siblings had the Silkie top hat but all were the Mille Fleur color. The hens genes, in this case, were more dominant.

Really ??????? That can't be, the mottling in the Mille Fluer pattern is recessive, the F1 offspring shouldn't have any mottling, the white silkie roo must have been masking mottling somewhere I've only heard of very few mottleds silkes. Are you sure that was the cross and or the F1 cross at least ?
Do you have pics of the parents ?
