and how do I treat a flock of 40?
I have read a small piece of bread with medicine on it and that seems easier than by mouth with syringe. We’ve had a lot of rain so in the water wouldn’t guarantee they would drink it. Also I sell and give away the eggs so I won’t be able to do that for 2 weeks? Are they ok to eat before I treat with the medicine? I just delivered them yesterday🤞
a fecal test isn’t an option so what medicine would I use?
thanks
Connie

Those are roundworms. I personally weigh mine and give their wormer orally so I know they're getting what they need.

@dawg53 may have better advice for a larger flock.

Buy a bottle of Valbazen liquid cattle/sheep wormer and dose each bird orally 1/2ml using a syringe without a needle. Repeat again in 10-14 days. Since you sell and give away eggs, withhold eggs between the first dosing and second dosing as well 14 days after the second dosing.

There's nothing saying that you have to worm all your birds all at once. You can worm them by breed or you can worm them by coop/pen.
Here's a link for you on how to worm birds orally: See post #14:
