What would a BR + RIR make?

One ugly chicken? Or a buff orp and RIR? just wondering since I can't have a rooster, but do know someone with 2 RIR roos, thinking maybe when they're ready I could get them to stud for me or is that ridiculous?

I believe it makes a black sexlink. This is taken from feathersite.
Black Sex-Links are produced using either a rir of nh male as the father and a Barred Rock as the mother. Both sexes hatch out black, but the males have a white dot on their heads. Pullets feather out black with some red in neck feathers. Males feather out with the Barred Rock pattern along with a few red feathers. Black Sex-Links are often referred to as Rock Reds.

I have crossed Buff Orpingtons and RIR before. The cross produces some really nice birds. My crosses looked sort of like New Hampshire Reds. Go for it! SD

oh cool! I have a lone barred rock pullet that I had bought from TSC. And I have a RIR rooster from TSC as well. I'm going to make black sex-links! I was going to pair her off with my dominque rooster but if I can get some sex-links I'm going for a different pairing.
