I have chicks hatching from my hen Tilly (she is a Silver Sussex hen). It is possible that it (chick) is a :
Silkie X Silver Sussex OR a SablepootX Silver Sussex

HHow would it look in both cases?

Clues to look for in a chick is a Grey beak, & a tiny bump on the head. The bump has to be felt for if it's non Vaulted.

I believe the Sablepoot X Silver Sussex will probably be sex linked too. Males having lighter yellowish down, & females more of a Golden brown.

Silkies would provide walnut combs, five toes, crests and feather legs, you would probably get sexlinks with females having fibromelanosis and males not. Sablepoots just provide feather legs. What color are your birds?

Not all silkie traits would be provided.

Some won't inherit the crest, or five toes. I have a couple of these.

Some will probably end up with Single, Pea, Rose, or a Walnut comb.
