money why not?
Anybody an get $5. goslings from their
local feed store every spring.
My Sebastopols have more than paid for
themselves many times over.
I think its pretty cool that they pay the feed bill.
Example:
One female will lay around 30 + eggs per year x $40. each = $1200.
Even figuring only half of them will hatch that equals around $600. per season.
You should be able to get a minimum of $40. for day old goslings with those goreous Am. Blues.

I second the comment on Holderead's quality. I have 3 welsh harlequin ducks from Metzer. I bought a Holderead WH drake from a fellow BYC member. While all my ducks are healthy (and spoiled rotten) the quality difference is really apparent. One of my girls only has the proper wing coloring on one wing. The bill size on the other two girls is also off. One is really long and the other is really short. Also, Metzer doesn't differentiate between gold and silver phase while Holdereads actually knows what they are doing

Not trashing Metzer. They were great with my order and the ducks are healthy. They are just production quality. Not a biggie unless you are going to show them.
