What would you end up with

Ok what would you end up with if you breeded a Gaint Blue Cochin with a Lt. Brahmas ,


would you end up with a blue base chicken with blk marking like that on a Lt Brahmas or should I said a blue chicken with Black tip tail and hack fethers like the Buff Brahmas or Dk Brahams .



whats your input on this mix

Blue is not a pure color. It is a cross between Splash and Black. You should wind up with half of them black and half of them blue.

OK,
If you would cross a Blue Cochin with a Light Brahma (Columbian) you should get;
F1 Blue -- Males and Females and F1 Black -- Males and Females.

If you would cross the F1 Blue Male back to his Dam you should get;
F2 Blue -- Males and Females, F2 Black -- Males and Females, F2 Blue Columbian -- Males and Females, and F2 (Black) Columbian -- Males and Females.


*(Note - F1 Represents First Generation and F2 Represents Second Generation )*
