I am not an expert. I have found that it is what is in the background. Like my white hen hatched a silver once and she was bred to the chocolate drake. We have a chocolate and white hen who we have bred to our chocolate drake, we will see what they have. We had a white drake at one time who mixed with our white hen they had a lavendar baby, a black baby, and then the rest where all whites. Before we hatched all those, I was a firm believer white hatched white......
PS.
Very cute babies Michelle!!
Thank you, Your too kind. On those JB eggs if they look light blue when you candle their clears, no babies. If they look redish they are forming. Thats how I weed out the clears. The bob whites are penned with only 1 pair per pen. The Jb's are 4 and 5 per roo. Probably why you have clears. When the quail I just hatched from different bloodlines grow up i'll separate the hens with the new blood roos.I checked all my quail eggs today. Im telling you candleing 70 tiny eggs is a pain in the rear end.But I could not beleave it ALL I repeat ALL of the bob whites look like they have embyro's in them , I could even see there little hearts beating (well one had viens and embryo but I coudnt see its heart beat hopefully that was just a fluke) . 20 shipped bob white quail eggs and all over them grew and emybro
. The jumbo browns were 30 embyro's and 20 that I ether coudnt see or were clear so not as good as the bob whites but still nice for shipped eggies. I dont know how to do % so if someone could tell me what the % total 50 of 70 eggs growing embryos that would be awsome .. I cant say enough good stuff about about this Seller , She worked with me , shipped the eggs promptly , the packageing was excellent and hello so many babies growing on day 4 its so awsome. Emvickrey You rock my dear you rock .![]()

Ok quick question. I have only Black Pied Muscovy Ducks. So silly me I thought I could only hatch out Black pied Muscovy ducklings. But to my surprise I see under one of my broody girls she has Black Pied, White & Chocolate. Can this happen. Or is it possible that they have differant genetics in there blood but are Black pied.![]()
