Please pray for the people in our area - flooding is very bad and very quick (some places 10" within 12 hours). Lots of homes lost but thankfully so far, no lives lost. Bridges, parks, roads and almost entire towns swept away with the water. Most of the towns up here are in a state of emergency - not all small towns either. Duluth has more than 84,000. My little water in the basement because the sump hole overflowed is nothing compared to what many are dealing with here. Pray that it stays only property loss. Thanks everyone!
That is awful!! I hope the loss is property only and everybody says safe.

Thank you all for your kind words and prayers! I/WE really appreciate it. I was upset about it and didn't say anything at first. I have had quick seconds on here once in a while and didn't really want to go into it until I had time. I am also not 1 to post everything that goes on in my life every minute

Nice to know there a lot of people out there though that care. I thought about posting a picture so you could really see what it looked like and understand 100% but I think it might be a little to graphic. This is a picture I found online showing what it looks like before treatment. Now imagine all of the little bumps with blistering open bleeding sores and you kind of understand. The 1 in the middle is more like how they look right now after a week of healing. This picture shows I think a small area of a butt cheek......?

2 of my 3 Mottled Anconas are trying to go broody  . These are flighty leghorn type birds, they aren't supposed to go broody. One was on the nest last night, there where 2 tonite, and they even went back in after I shooed them off to collect eggs. I do have some paint Ameraucana eggs coming in the mail though, but I'm not sure if I should put shipped eggs under a broody. :/
Has anyone put shipped eggs under a broody and still had a good hatch? I would be worried about the loose aircells.
Oh, and a serama/mod game pullet has gone broody. I left a few eggs in there Monday night, they don't always lay them in the nest, and they where at the back of the pen. Its only 2 feet high, and the little purple hoe wasn't close by, so I left the eggs for Tuesday. Came home Tuesday night to find a broody. she is so small, she was just covering the 7 serama eggs.

I'm so sorry yur little girl and you are going thru all this. It's horrible to see the ones that depend on you to protect them go thru such things but sometimes it just can't be helped. We've been thru a few times with our daughter when she was very young and now our grandsons and it's just horrible to know they are scared and the docs are hurting them but it's all to help them in the long run. We've even had to hold our grandson down to get stitched up. He had an ATV accident and got scalped. Although they had him sedated he still fought and we had to help hold him down while they cleaned out the mud from under his scalp and then sewed and stapled his scalp back on. We had to take turns because we couldn't stand it for very long at a time. To see your childs skull and the skin just flopped over and the sound of it getting sewed up and him screaming. It's any parents nighmare. My daughter got ahold of rat poison that was in the form of a bar. We lived in an old house and we didn't know it was there. She brought it to me and said candy bar momma and it was half gone. Her stomach had to be pumped and she was just 3 years old.

Hang in there and it will just be a memory and your precious little girl will be all good. Stay positive everyday. Our prayers are with your daughter for a fast recovery and with you for the strength to be strong for her. God Bless.
Thank You so much and rat poison OMG! When my oldest was 1.5yrs old she got into my sisters benadryl when we were staying at my grandparents watching her while they were out of town.... My car was broken down and I stole my grandparents car to take her to the er to have her stomach pumped and charcoal given to her. I dont think that was quite as bad because I didn't have to hold her down they gave her a sedative since she was so young but I can just imagine..... I was also 1 that was prone to need stitches when I was a kid..... So I am sure my mom went through the same feeling when was a kid. LOL that actually makes me feel better and laugh to think about all I did to my mom when I was a kid.... I was always doing something!

Thank You

I never had stitches till I got older and I broke my pinky toe when i was about 15. I did have all my wisdone teeth removed when I was 14. They where all coming in sideways pushing the molors. My guns where so infected I couldn't open my mouth to eat and I can still remember the pain. I would lay in bed and hum to myself. It drove my mother nuts. It was the only way I could ease the pain was to get my mind off it as much as I could. It was a huge relief when they where all pulled.

We locked up the motor on our car on our way to the hospital with my daughter when she ate the rat poison. DH was across the street picking black berries and I just screamed his name and he was there. When the car was about dead we stopped and used a phone and called a relatiave and they headed towards us. The car finally died about the time she reached us. We lived out in the boon docks. You know when living in the country really meant it. We had no neighbors or phone.

I think most of us have had trauma's in our lives and we learn from them. It's all part of life. I always believe things happen for a reason no matter how horrible and tragic they are. I learned to go thru a home with a fine tooth comb before I let my daughter roam around in it. And the yard and any outbuildings there where. I've found some pretty dangerous stuff that she could have gotten hurt on if I had avoided what I call a warning.

that poor little girl.........me and my wife will pray for her and your family.....may God bless her little sores to heal fast....in Jesus's name Amen
I've been a PICU RN for more than 20 years and the pain and suffering that kids go through is tremendous. I'm so very sorry for the amount of pain you and your family are going through.. Just awful.

Bless you all.....

My son was hospitalized more then two dozen times and had 4 surgries by the time he was two , I know exactly how you feel. Im a single mom and I delt with 90% of all of it by my self so I know what that part is like as well. I hope she heals quickly for your sake and for hers.

That has to be so hard! I was a single mom for a while. When I left my ex I had 1 little girl and was pregnant with another so I can definatly relate with that but I had my family really close at hand and lived with them for a little while to get on my feet. There were times when I felt alone but I knew they were there and they were such a big help in raising my girls. Even after me and current DH moved in together we stayed close to my family until a little over a year ago when we bought our home and moved almost an hour away to be by DH work. In times like this its so hard because I am so used to living a few blocks from my grandparents and being able to just walk over there or drive for 2 seconds.... lol Now especially with gas prices I only get to see them every couple weeks if I am lucky and can make it over there..... I don't know how I would have made it through all you have alone....

What does or did your son have if you don't mind my asking? I am sure others are curious to.....
