Omg! Im praying for all of you ..your children...your houses...your pets...im so sorry and hope everything gets better asap! Ox

Thanks everyone! It is sunny today, so there should be a little drying out here. Hoping the rivers and streams slow down some. My daughter worked last evening and there was no way for her to get home (all the roads to here were closed) - so she is stuck in town staying a friends house. Thank goodness for friends!

Jim and KYTinpusher - Did you get any of that much needed rain last night and into today? Hopefully it was a nice rain if it did. The radar showed alot of reds and yellows going through the middle part of the country last night. I was praying for gentle rains for everyone

2hot2chicken, prayers for you and your daughter, I can't begin to imagine how hard that must be on you seeing her go through this, she sounds like a very strong little girl though. Hoping for a quick recovery!

coldupnorth, prayers for you and all in your area, we had really bad flooding last year here, thousands of homes lost, we were lucky not to have any damage.

Okay, I'll quit whining about the flooding in my chicken yard!
Holy cats, that's some horrible news, Coldupnorth. Take care of yourself and your neighbors. I think everyone covered the carpet drying process very well. Good luck. Be vigilant for mold.

2hot, I am horrified at what your poor daughter, and you, are going through. i had never heard of this and am so distressed that the only course is to burn the suckers off. I remember how much it hurt my boys to have warts burned off and this is 1,000 times worse. {{hugstoyouboth}}

Geesh... sending lots of prayers and thoughts your way, everyone!

So sorry to hear about all the rough times, and hoping the smooth patches come along sooner rather than later!

Set 49 buttons last night , I candled them and found sevral with cracks that were a bit hard to see with just looking at the eggs I set a couple that were just tiny tiny cracks but I threw out sevral with bigger ones. One was empty lol do they actually lay empty eggs or did they some how leak from or evaporate thru the cracks lol the eggs seemed normal on the outside with some some cracks on it.I saw bubbles in sevral eggs dang post office what to they do there shake them like they are makeing a drink on cocktail

Yes thank goodness she had somewhere to stay! Glad she is safe. I have seen roads flooded over in the dark, and you really cannot tell which is what. Hopefully the rain does not come back for a bit.
We are dry as a bone here. Even my spring fed pond behind the barn is dropping a bit in water level. I was hoping for rain, but since we have to try and repair the siding and porch (I set the house on fire with the gas grill) I hope we do not get any until after the weekend.

Okay I have a question. I should just post it under "what am I" but yanno....
About the end of Chick days for TSC I bought what was left in their bantam bin. I sold all of them later but this one little one. She is very pretty and well... She started crowing and fighting this morning. I cannot seem to find his breed anywhere on any of the hatchery's websites. Any Idea's?

He looks grey in the photo but in real life it is more of a tanish chocolate grey.
