I thought so. My daughter is just the kind of detail-oriented kid to keep her pencils in such a thing

I think it is cute! Maybe let her chose the color from your stash?

I was about to say that is she is anything like my brother, the pencils would be everywhere and the case would be crammed in the bottom of her bookbag. And he's a Senior in HS.

ATTENTION TO ALL THOSE THAT MAKE TOTES OUT OF FEED BAGS
I made a deal with somebody to make me a few totes and I would send a box of feed bags. I would get a couple totes from the bags I sent and who ever it was that was going to do this for me was to keep the rest of the bags for themselves.

My problem is I don't remember who it was I was suppose to send them too.

I had it written down but can't find it.

Thinking it was Michelle (reesepoultry). Think I remember her saying something about it when we went to the swap at Mt Hope last week.

I meet Nan yesterday and did some swapping with her, Heather and Michelle. Nan is a kick. I brought my poultry net just in case she let ant chickens loose she would not have to chase them around on foot. No One got loose.

She got to meet my pathetic broken leg down Pokey who we had to bring so we could watch her for chewing her cast of. And my DH who was a sport and waited semi patiently while we swapped.

I took home 1 d'uccle pullet, 2 black split to lav amers pullets and a lav amer roo. 2 seabrites for a friend and a pair of scovies. And a lav guniea hen.

I hope Michelle likes her lav guniea boy basquack. We miss him already.

Nan was a doll and took a bunch of chicks from me. My brooders look better now. Hatching addiction? Who me.

We were both running late so that worked out very well.

I love meeting byc'rs

Nope wasn't me. I don't make them darn things anymore. They are a pain to make and and didn't sell worth a darn.

You got the Java Chick too didn't you. I don't see it on your list. It was looking lie a girl since there are no signs of a comb developing yet.

I loved meeting Rachel, her hubby & her cra2y pup who thot it could chew thru a metal splint that was securing it's broken leg. My kids were ama2ed by the dog in it's cone collar & splint and also by all the birds. Heather's calls got to sample french fries on the way home & had names before they were in the car for 5 minutes. They are now Blue, Wiggles, Snuggles & Peeper. Basquack woke my roommate up a few minutes ago with his machine gun fire call...

My daughter came down & informed me "The Grinch" was NOT happy with the Guinea!!! My son has checked out EVERY chick Rachel gave me & decided the barred olive egger shall be HIS & named it "Stripey." Several of the older chicks joined the Silkies in the coop/grow-out pen last night & my daughter had to go out & show them where the nest was once it got dark so they wouldn't get cold. I have several other grow-outs in there already (some gorgeous cochins & a Showgirl from Michelle) & they haven't quite gotten the concept of sleeping in the coop yet either. So far "Hey You Are You A Boy Or A Girl" as Rachel called him, has gotten along fine with the other roos in the Silkie coop and Ghost (that gorgeous Si22le roo from Michelle) is doing great at keeping peace in the coop. I really need some more of these Silkie girls to get grown up so they can start laying me some eggs. Right now I have 7 girls & 5 roos out there plus the chicks. If anyone has any GOOD QUALITY Silkie hens I'd LOVE to have them. Color is unimportant as I have a rainbow flock

Rachel & I decided the next time we plan a swap we will make it on the weekend & make sure we plan several weeks ahead so everyone can join us

As for that net, Rachel must have heard how many chickens & quail I ended up chasing at Mt Hope Swap...and I was the one who let them all out!!!
