And, oh, dear, someone sent me a bonus egg in an egg shipment.....a quail....yikes! These is a tiny egg!!! What does one do with a quail, besides eat it??

Beth - I have three adorable little Polish (two black, one blue) and two BLRWs so far. I'm giving the other guys another day to hatch. The Polish are so stinkin' cute!

Just had our first hatch of the bunch -- a FNNEE from BHep.

So, I have sill airs and do a dry hatch. The ambient humidity has been high this time around, though, and it's not gotten below 36%. I brought the lockdown humidity up to about 60% on the second day of lockdown. I was watching for a pip to bring it up further, but this little one just pipped and zipped within 30 minutes! With the hatch, the humidity is up to 62%. No other pips yet.

Leave it? Raise it?
