I hear yah Reese....Most of the chicks I sold after I kept the ones I wanted...dirt cheap so I didnt have to feed them anymore...I culled 7 roosters last weekend and two yesterday...I did not process them as they ranged from 4 weeks to 3 months...cant afford to let them all grow out to judge them as I have way too many...i HAVE to get rid of about 20 more;( they will wind up being dirt cheap to someone or free;( I hate it!

Same here.... weather Sucks and feed price rising.... dump them cheap, so you don't have to feed them or eat them.

4 Beautiful 8 week old langshan and a sussex chick and I sold the lot for $20 because the HAD to go. They were big eaters. This is the first time I've had a real problem selling chicks and these were the nicest I've ever had. Maybe come fall it'll be better. I'm so glad I don't have an incubator!

My patch came off my eye yesterday. Whoot, the tumor was shaved back this time very far. You now cannot see it at all unless I push back the corner of my eye to find it. Please keep fingers, toes, and eyeballs crossed for me. I am hoping this helps with the problems I have been having.

I did this wen and thurs lol moveing birds around so everyone has more space. I still feel so bad for the litte button Id put her in with the new born quail but she dosnt need the heat and IM sure she would get to warm. I wish I could ge ahold of some more button eggs her cries break my heart. On the upside I got a huge bright pink rubbermade tub and cut the lid so it is mostly 1/4 inch wire mesh and used bright pink with black tiger stirpes duct tape to keep the wire in place. That quail pair are styleing let me tel ya.
I do the same type of thing but after I cut away most of the lid I drill holes in it and attach the hardware cloth with nylon cable ties.

100% hatch on the 7 put into the hatcher!

Now, need help, BHep! (got 2 black orps not pictured!)

The aftermath:

Definitely a FNNEE:

Guessing from the comb it is an SFH?

Single comb, too, so SHF?

EE comb, but not naked neck....do you get all NN from the FNNEE eggs?

FNNEE without the NN:

Yes..Judges...... 2 SFH and not all FNNEE come out NN or Frizzled. You should know if the chicks are frizzled within a week. CUTE !!!

Will the FNNEE carry the NN gene? I have someone asking for EEs and was wondering if the non-NNs would be okay for him (he doesn't want NN). Don't think he's gonna breed them.
