Haven't been by for a while, and although I haven't been a big regular, just wanted to say hi... Been working on finishing up my pens..., so early next spring I will have Blue Copper and Black Copper Marans and Wheaten/Blue Wheaten Ameracauna and OE/EE eggs available=) Woohoo!! I'm excited!! Plus, the weather has been perfect for working outside, time to make hay while the sun still shines, so the yard has to get buttoned up for winter=) Will be back..

My Hubby really wants to hatch some Buff Orpingtons, if anyone has any extra eggs. I have Blue EE and maybe a few Green EE, from hens that haven't gone into molt yet.

Anybody out there want to trade?

The darn po has lost one of my swaps. Something DH really needs too. It hasn't been scanned since it was taken to the po so I can't track it down either.

I have an offer up and I have eggs.

The post office is highly negligent when it comes to scanning the progress of packages.

I had some chicks shipped to me a few years ago and they weren't scanned at all after their original departure. Live, 6 week old chicks! You can imagine how I was freaking out!

But they all arrived safe and sound.

In another instance, I purchased 4 large fowl Sumatra from a very large poultry show back east in Indiana. Put them in a box two days before I left that state. They should have beat me home. I got home on Sunday. They didn't show up until Wednesday! It's a good thing they all survived, I would have been super teed off... and no, they didn't scan those boxes either! Had no idea where they had gone.

I bought a rooster about 3 or 4 years ago that was lost in the mail for a week. I called every post office that he should have passed thru and left messages with them all to call me upon his arrival. I got a call at 1 am that he was at a po an hour drive away. I told them to hold him that I would pick im up. Poor guy was traumatized and turned mean. After about a year I had to rehome him to keep my grandkids form getting hurt. I've had eggs on a few occassions take 2 weeks to get to me.

I've gotten all my other swaps except that one but maybe it'll show up one day soon
