Urban I actually have a few containers that I got mealworms in from petco. They have lids with holes and should be ok to put in a box to ship with some peanuts . if you want them just pm me ur addy and I will ship them to you.

Houston, we have a problem. By tomorrow night 3 of my turners will be empty. Does anybody else see this as a problem?

Thats a problem, a huge one. The last guinea egg pipped, not sure when but way, way early it died halfway out of the shell. Would have been really cute too had a lot of white on it. It was still in the turner. Wasn't supposed to go into lockdown until Wed. I checked this morning and it was dead and fluffy so it pipped really early.

I have a cochin sitting on 6 eggs. I was going to incubate 2 just in case she wasn't a good broody but there is no way I am leaving an incubator on for 2 mutt cochin eggs from my own flock when there is a broody that has room for them.

Did you get anything to hatch from the eggs you kept for yourself?

I have one set of eggs going into lockdown friday and some next week.One incubator is full and I have 5 more sets of eggs comming,I have 2 comming from the mystery swap and 3 from the WHAT YA GOT SWAP.This will be it on the eggs unless a deal to good to pass up comes along before the end of August.

I hope you get lots of eggs soon and good luck today at school.My kids start school as well,my daughter is happy school is starting as she acually loves school.Plus its her senior year.
My youngest son not so much...

The containers the meal worms come in here are like the big cottage cheese tubs with holes punched in them. It is $6.99 for one.

Yep im looking for 4 sets and hopefully a 5th and I will be done with chicken eggs for the year. (hopefully I can stick by that!). I'm also seriously considering placing another order for chicks with ideal next week if I can get the ones I want for the price I want them. Been waiting all summer for them to be available again (banty cornish) I dont want to have any babies when the weather starts turning colder. I like being able to let them play outside all day. I have two batches in the bator now one set of EEs, BBS americaunas, banty barnevelders and mixed banties from Taebo and some layer mixes from EE/BO blue roo and RIR, BO and Americauna hens. Those are scheduled for August 31st and Sept 1st.

Well Jim you have 16 eggs on the way from me, so when you are collecting more keep that in mind.

My incubator is off! But at the end of next month it will be on for 3 weeks and then off again until spring. I am going to do Welsummers, SLW (if I can get them) and EEs, I am trying to talk myself into or out of them depending on the time of day. I sold a lot of my EEs and it hurt....
