What? Nobody eats the yolks in pickled eggs? Oh yes we do that best part. I love them. Your mean pull the hardboiled yolks out? Eggs benedict uses raw egg yolks, right? The eggs fit in the eggies I just couldn't get them all the way out
Quote: I use fresh room temerature eggs and they don't crack. I also lower them into the boiling water with a slotted spoon, I don't drop them in.
How do you do that? I always have a hard time peeling off the shells!
At first I was told you have to punch a hole with a push pin in the large end of the egg then lower them into a pan of boiling water, bring water back to a boil and boil 15 minutes when done dump them into a strainer then plunge into ice water with cubes for 15 minutes then peel sometimes the peels come off in halfs, lol. Oh and now I don't punch the hole. Try it.
What I do to hard boil fresh eggs is I boil water and lower room temperature eggs into the boiling water with a slotted spoon. When the water boils again I shut off the heat and cover the pot for 15 minutes. I use a heavy stainless steel pot that holds the heat well. Then I place the eggs into a bowl of Ice water for a couple of minutes then back into the pot of hot water. Voila, easy peel eggs.
