Okay . .so...everyone waiting on smoked salmon and canned goods....

We went fishing this weekend and the berries were just starting. They were mostly green, but I did find one bright red salmonberry so we are really close.
As far as fish, my dad actually canceled several clients' fishing trips because the fish were not in as of last week. But when he went out this weekend he caught several dollies which means the other fish are not far behind
So that's the heads up on the Alaska IOU. It still seems weird to me to just "owe" someone and they hold up their end on the assumption you will hold up yours. With the diaper swaps, you don't send ANYTHING until you have pay pal in your account! And even with that system I had someone totally screw me over once for about $25 worth of stuff :/ anyways if everyone gets annoyed with my updates I'll shut up. I just feel weird owing all this stuff and feel like those people whom I owe would like to be kept informed ...and assured that I'm still here. LOL

Having somebody not send their item happens more than you think. I've not gotten several of my swaps but I always send out mine regardless if I've gotten what I claimed or not. If we all stopped sending till we received our item this thread wouldn't exist. Updates are always good so the people that are owed know you haven't forgotten about them and they feel better knowing that they will get their item when it comes available. I try ont to have IOU's because it's usually eggs. I've had people ask to get them like in the spring or a couple months later. With my chickens they could stop laying anytime and I have no idea when they do this nor will I know when they will lay in the future. I try not to have any IOU's because of this. I've had waiting lists then when it was time to send eggs they either where not ready for them or just changed their minds. So I"m not going to do waiting lists for more than a month in advance. When I put up eggs as an offer they will go out as soon as they are collected. No more waiting for a certain date because I can't guarantee I'll have eggs.

Personally like to know so I would not claim
From someone who may not be able to follow through. Compleatly different from IOU with good communication!

I have a off the wall question. Anyone here know who sent me coronation sussex eggs for the April WYGS mystery swap? I know it is suppose to be a mystery but I am wondering lineage of the birds. I hatched out a trio that is now 2 months old.
