Thanks for the encouragement. I guess I'll be able to offer up eggs. I'm not sure if I'll have anything else to offer . My Iowa Blue eggs are just sitting at the Large Fowl Only Egg Swap. I know swapping is slow right now so I won't get too nervous yet.

OH he is a beauty. My daughter loves him too. She asked if I was going to please get some of those LOL any idea what he weighs? Just curious how large they get. I once read the breed info but have forgotten what it said.

The roosters should be 7 lbs and the hens should be 6 lbs. I've never weighed mine though. The hens are elegant. They are black with what's supposed to be silver penciling. The silver is mossy. We are trying to breed this out of them. I have a pullet that is pretty silver.

Jim,
I am starting to get silkie eggs in spurts. I checked fertility and we are good. I never get more than 4-6 before they stop and take a break. Is there a color you don't want? Currently they are in a big pen together, but chicks should be white...do you want to take a chance on an odd colored one?
