Have I ever mentioned how unproductive Parent Teacher Conferences are at the High School level? Well, they are. The only parents I see are those that I do not need to see. Our work day today was 7:40 am to 7:30 pm with no supper break. They said they give us a lunch break so we don't need a supper break. Don't get me wrong, I have enough stored fat that I won't blow away, but it is not the fact. We may just need to time to refresh our brain.

Then we have conferences during Homecoming week. Ugh!

Jim - No offense but I haven't found them to ever be very productive in regards to my children. For the past few years I just get a note telling me to not come in ... either they are afraid of my kids or my kids are actually good ... I can be hopeful

While I am glad she is doing well, I don't see the sense to all that for everyone.

My daughter usually doesn't need the conferences though only once when she decided she wouldn't do any homework. she was like why do i have to do it when i get 90-100's on all the quizes and tests? HMMM... well because homework grades are a large portion of your average. you dont do it or hand it in you fail hunny.

AND this year she was supposed to take honors science but had to drop that and go into regular science class because with the honors class she couldn't take Spanish 2.

and she loves Spanish.... soooooooooo stupid.

anyway sorry for the school rant. I feel everyone's pain.
