Hatching is all done! got 10 out of 12 that made it to lockdown (total of 17 set). Such cute chicks!

3 buff orps, 3 black astros, 3 RIR and a lone little barred rock. Alas, none of the marans made it, i'm gonna crack the duds tomorrow.

now to go watch the chick tube..and to name them...

Tom on a great hatch

I am having swap withdrawals.... I only used 1 this week. Thread was slow, except for last night.

But that gave me a chance to catch up on the swaps I needed to get out. I am caught up on eggs and will offer more as long as they lay. 2 sideswaps on hold...GLP have quit laying for the moment. Weather has be up & down, dry & wet. Those girls are divas.

I only used one this week, too but I have been so busy I have not had a chance to look much.
I swear, the older I get the faster time goes. If I weren't so tired at the end of the day I would want more hours in it. And I think the more I cut back on birds the more work I still seem to have to do! I must be doing something wrong!.......Oh yeah, I think I spend too much time playing with my sweeties! I think I spent an hour petting and loving on the d'Uccles yesterday as they played on their tractor. THAT is the joy of owning birds.
