Nobody wanted my Iowa blue x dorking mix eggs when I was swapping. I kept 2 that I hatched. They are gorgeous and both have the 5th toes. This guy is only a few months old.

*I ended up with 12 quail hatch from Jenlyn. Started hatching on the 23rd and the last hatched late on the 27th. I was not expecting them to space out their hatching over that many days when they were all put in the incubator at the same time. One died a day after hatching and one died today (my favorite colored one of course) - so I'm down to 10. My hubby is kinda liking the quail.

YAY! 8/9 baby quail....1 was unfertile. I am so tickled!

Just because it didn't develope doesn't mean it was unfertile. It could mean several differant things. Like Incubator problems, Shipping problems, Too cold, Too Hot, even air cell being detached.

Unfortanately we are relying on the post office to get the eggs to us intact. Which doesn't always happen. Glad you got 8 little babies from this hatch. Once they start laying you will have tons of quail running around.

My quail is just starting to lay. 3 eggs the past 2 days out of 4 females.
