So I have learned WAY more about the Po and Fed-Ex than I really ever wanted to know. Still in the process of tracking down my missing birds headed to CA. So far the po has no information about the package once it leaves their hands into Fed's hands, they get no sort of paperwork or tracking number so they can even track packages. What's wrong with that picture!!

I am now dealing with Fed's advocate department trying to track it down. I have all the info from when it left here with Fed including the original tracking number for that shipment. However it is a bulk tracking number for 15 packages of birds weighing 232 pounds that left here that day headed to Memphis,TN. Apparently no one works past 5 pm in TN so they can't get info from that dept. So advocates services is working on internal numbers based on the bulk # that I have... Waiting for a call back in the 30 minutes.

Oh man. That explains it then. I lost 2 packages of birds in Memphis, Tn. They are notorious for loosing live birds and delivering them dead. They have been in the mail for so long now that there chance are slim I hate to say. The dang Post office.

Hope they arrive soon and in good health.

Sad to say, Memphis is going to be the closest sorting facility to us soon, when they close Jackson. I think i need to move back to Florida.

The scary part is that there is NO paperwork between usps & fedex to show that packages of birds have been handed over to fed. No tracking number is given to usps so they can call and track birds, they just rely on fed to get them to the next usps hub so they can scan them in!! What kind of horse crap is that!!

I will now be looking into what it takes to try and get either fedex or ups to become a "feathered" carrier without having to use the po. Not sure where to start but I do have a cousin very high up at ups that will get getting a call very soon.

Time for some changes!!

on a note of encouragement, the gentleman receiving the birds did say he has had a packages of 4 week old chicks going to Arkansas find themselves in "Alaska" to be rerouted back to Arkansas for a 10 day round trip and all still be alive. I did put food and apple slices in with them so I am still holding out hope.

I've been doing a lot of intense research on the egg shipping subject. Everyone has problems with crushed boxes, loose air cells, etc. of course PO etc denies mishandling. I've found the answer to what happens to the eggies. This video should explain it all. Enjoy.

I HAVE QUAIL!!!!!! 5 of the little ones broke into the world while I was out with the neighbors drinking cool aid!!!!
