Me either. I keep trying but the pics wont show up. I've got alot of feed bags I plan to swap too.

First you need to upload some pictures to BYC, hopefully you have already done that. If not let me know and I will guide you through that too.
Go to your my page, if you have a swap page, click to open that page. At the top of the page click on 'click here to edit' . You will see your edit page. At the top of the page click on 'my uploaded images'. You should now have 2 open BYC pages. 1 is your page you are making, the other should that have automatically opened when you clicked on it is your uploaded images page. Click on the picture you want to use DO NOT CLICK ON THE URL click on the picture. Your thumbnail should now be a larger picture. Right click on that picture and hit copy. Go to your page you are editing and right click where you want the picture to be and hit paste. Do not use the image code in your page it will not work. Just copy the picture you want from your uploaded images and paste it where you want it to be on your swap page you are making. VOILA you should now have your pictures where you want.

Thank you! That is WAY easier and faster.

I figured it out and started working on it. Now I can go and get pics of stuff besides eggs and feed bags. Thanks for the info. I got the pics to show up by using the URL code. I wasn't deleting all of what parts didn't need to be there. What I don't know though is how many feed bags is a fair trade. I put pick 2 bags. Is that fair or would more be better. I would like for a value of $15 at least for the swaps. I know people make tote bags out of them.
What ya'all think so far? https://www.backyardchickens.com/web/viewblog.php?id=24309

12 bags!!

I sent about 6 bags quite some time ago and the postage was close to $13. Of course, it went from west coast to east coast... most everyone lives in the eastern part of the country. I was thinking 3-4 bags, whatever I could fit into a flat rate box. Also, if the bags are a little more colorful then you can get away with less. More common or not too colorful you may need to offer more to get takers.

okay, now that I'm over my shock of the bags I wanted to tell you that your page looks fantastic! I need to do mine. Maybe tonight. You've inspired me.

Okay, before I get beat up on the bag comment, I think that swapping is about what you want. Some people may be content with swapping a few bags, others might think it's not enough. I can only offer what I have and hope that there will be takers.

I fold up the bags and put them in another bag and tape it up. Just make sure it is no more then 12"x 12". Cost under $10.00 to ship priority. Prior to swapping them, I was using them for garbage bags.

I did too till I figured they could be put to better use than getting tossed in the trash. So I started saving them. I may make some totes for myself one day. I'm not a cold weather person so I won't be outside anymore than what my birds need me to be so I'll have more time to do indoor stuff like sewing. I usually make chicken and quail aprons in the winter too.

Does anyone know how to look for a lost pet on Petfinder.com. They changed there site and I can't figure it out.

We lost our beloved Pitt Mix we rescued when she was just 5 weeks old and dumped in a ditch. She is 2 1/2 3 yrs old and went missing December 31st. She was our flock protector and just went missing. She was wearing a Peace sign collar & is fixed. I am gonna call all of the pounds near us tomorrow. They have all been closed for days. I have already posted on Craigslist.

What a way to start out a new year.
