If you "Subscribe to all your FAVS. The you can look up to where it says messages (top right) underneath it says Subscriptions, it makes life so much better. Of course I had some old junk in there and had to whittle away the threads I no longer read up on. But I did it for my swap page, pics, my home page etc. So much nicer.

I updated my browsers, took a minute or 2. Also removed the advertisements and have sped up things greatly.


So where are people going to list their eggs???? ebay or what. I have only listed 3-4 times ever. I am a buyer not a seller.

But now that my pretties are finally laying, I would have liked to try out an auction.
I just placed a CL add and have been fortunate to sell out the eggs I have sitting here and I have a small waiting list.

Also sold some birds and have about 100 more to go. I have some friends coming over to show me how to process my extras.

Many are going back to ebay, others are also doing CL, featherauction, bidbird, and rarebreedauctions. There is also bestfarmbuys.com that I will using again too. Also will place ads in local area free papers like the Iwanna.

Thankfully we have a website now so I will be printing some business cards and hanging them in the feed stores as well as taking them to the shows, even thinking of opening a facebook page just for the farm!

I am also going to take out an ad in the poultry press and have already had my site added to the Orpington club website.

Being a stay at home mom selling some eggs/birds does help pay some bills, just sad to see what byc has done to the sell section, it affects a lot of people and their extra income.

i just wonder why the auction is they way it is,do they want to stop it all together? I sold a lot of totes on here,and i enjoy buying on here.I am so sad for this

Why can't packages get to me in 2 days! Always 3 days, more if there is a sub mailman that doesn't want to open the fence and knock on the door, that happened to my baking swap, ticked me off to no end.

I read somewhere around here that the auction page is something they're still working on. They want to keep everyone here and happy, That said, Ebay also has a "classified" section where you can sell local for free. Some of you may want to try that. I don't know how much traffic it gets or if it's included in an Ebay search but it's worth looking into.

There are a few threads here on BYC also to help sell or add it to your siggy like hot2pot does. I may do that. I saw a couple of other swap thread or a 24 hr crazy auction thread. I can't remember the names.

Hi everybody! Not sure what the weather is doin' in your neck of the woods, but it's FREEZING here! I'm about ready to knit little scarves for all my Naked Necks!

I remember seeing a little Lazy Susan type of thing on someone's swap page. Anybody remember who had that or perhaps it was you? Can you send me a PM please... I'd love to make a side swap for it.
