I have bantam Ameracaunas also.... I was just talking with DD and trying to figure out which hens would make good bantam EEs. I have a tiny little black bantam, she is a Serama mixed with ? but she is muffed, so she is in the running. Plus she is a great little layer & broody. Have her daughter too. And of course I have bunches of Serama, even fizzles. Trying for the tiniest.

I also have very young bantam cuckoo Maran for OEs.

Hi everyone, newbie here to the swap page!

I have been lurking the swap thread for sometime, wanting to get involved but it seemed a little overwhelming at first, but I think I am ready now, lol. Had to have someone explain it to me a little more but I get it now! Looking forward to joining the fun!

Just ask if you get confused and don't hesitate to jump on offers.

Going to sort and legband Buckeyes today. There have 2 strains, want to easily see which is which and start identifying the cockerels. I find it rather hard to tell with pea combs, but tail feathers are starting to grow so that helps. If you've never had these birds, you are missing out. What sweethearts, but it's hard to clean with them walking all over your feet

they hardly ever bicker, just some play chest bumping.

12 week cockerel - our weather is beautiful this week and they are loving it.

Hentymes: I am interested in the bantam marans eggs. But hopefully I can find some soon. I want them to be laying by summertime.

As for the Bantam Ameraucana's I am only looking for the Bantam EE's because they are a bit bigger than the Ameraucana. So I am just interested in the Bantam EE's if anyone has them. Thanks though. My first EE's were Bantam.

I can get Bantam Marans & Bantam EE's from Meyer's hatchery and drive to get them, but they won't have them until April.

How do you set up a swap page or is this something you must have a higher post count to do.
I make high fire beads and buttons from clay and would love to trade for eggs or something else.
Thanks
Tammy

from western Ohio! Looks like your post got lost in all the chatter!
You may want to read the first page of the What ya got swap thread. It works as a chain-one person offers several items, and the next person says "MINE, I want ......" then offers several items themselves for the next person to claim. Then you send your name and address to the person whose items you claimed in a PM. You do need to be a BYC member for 3 months before you may play.

If you see something you really want, you may PM the person and ask if they would be interested in doing a side swap, too. Hope this helps!

Actually, she joined 1-2012.

Look back two pages to find the post I am quoting.

Are they doing well? Have you candled them? I find they are the easiest ones to candle, for me!

I think the confusion is that there are two different byc'ers asking questions about getting involved.. One being silkymom and the other mossypath. Silky has been a member since 9-11 & mossy only since 1-12.

Welcome to both, hope you join in the fun!!!

(of course mossy will still have to wait her 3 month member period.)

I must be thinking of the wrong person. sorry. Hey, I am an old woman!

I just ordered some Black Jersey Giant eggs. Between those and the D'Uccles and the big hatch coming on the 5 and 6th I am just beside myself. Today is such an awesome weather day, my chickens are pretty tickled too! Still kind of early but I think they look good. Mostly the Bantam SF eggs and the sicilian buttercups from the University of Arkansas and a few of the Buff Orps from HOT2POT have not candled well. But I have a bator more from HOT2POT that are AwEsOmE. Keeping my fingers crossed just another 9 days till the great crazy what was I thinking hatch. Which means only 9 more days of condo rental in my bathroom for the silkies, seramas, RIRs, Marans in there now. Out to the coop they go so the new tenants can move in. They have been in there 3-4 weeks now.
