I have no complaints here either...... My PO calls me and I can either p/u or they will deliver my boxes. My carrier drives around back, honks and I go out and get them. If I am not home he leaves them on my porch swing.

I of course send him home with fresh eggs or muffins.

Yup Babymakes6, that was me. Thank you. I hope more people post what they are looking for are interested in. I too need little girls clothes 7 for a almost 7 year old. And I will trade for ladies clothes too. I am cheap peeps. Why buy a $100 dress when you can wait 6 months and get it at a yard sale for $5. Bahahahaha I used to drive my friends crazy shopping the sale racks all the time. I refuse to pay marked up prices. Even at the Harley dealerships. I will not give 80 bucks for a dress shirt unless it's a birthday or something. So bring it on landies and gents. And you already know shipping a shirt is soooooo much cheaper then a dozen of eggs. Bahhahahahaha the Polish roo did not bite my head off tonight so I am giddy!

I'm lucky too with my delivery person - if the package doesn't fit it in the mailbox (she doesn't cram it either), she will drive it up to the house and put in a plastic container I have on my back porch and leave it slightly open so that I know something is in it. She's a sweety and so is the postmaster. Always very careful and will call if there is a package that they think should be picked up instead of delivered.

202roosterlane - Glad your Polish roo is behaving today! Mine are being picked on by their roommates (other bantams) - hoping to build a space for them tomorrow. I've taken that BULLY PREVENTION CLASS for teachers and I'm not afraid to use it. It must somehow apply to chicken too. Wouldn't you think?

Went to the vet today with 2 dogs and the cat all at once and of course, by myself. Shots and everything! Revolving from the car to the clinic and back again. Found out the puppy gets carsick - both on the way to the vet and the way home. Poor little guy!

@ coldupnorth Yup my roo needs a bully class. I have some of his 6 week old chicks I may put with them when I move them to a larger run. Have to watch him and make sure he does not pick on them though.
I truely think it was the storm that freaked him out. Just have to make sure he understands the hand that feeds him is boss. I have swapped for many cook books but he would not make much of a meal LOL. I love him too much but I still remind him every so often.

I've updated my swap page with some of my daughter's stuff. All but the Shojo Beat magazines were bought new and she keeps her stuff nice. Open to side swap offers since I'm done until Sunday.

Just listed some Fabric on my swap page that I won't be using. I attempted to make a devil and a Angel costume a few years back. Lets just say it didn't work out so well.

So the fabric that I was using is up on the swap page now.

Might work very well for Meepitqueenie for her plushies or Dmcann for her sewing skills.

Yall are lucky to have such nice PO's. I can't even get mine to call me when I have eggs being delivered, every batch of eggs I have gotten has clearly had my # on it to call for pick up and it's like they just totally ignore it!!

Ugh it drives me crazy!!

Are those of you with sucky post offices in larger cities or towns? My PO is in a town of about 250 people. The post master is a friend (we have boys the same age), so they are great with my packages too. They are closing post offices all around us so I make sure to use mine as much as possible. Before I started buying postage online I asked if the $$ would be credited to my PO, and he confirmed it would as long as it was mailed from our post office

Wouldn't you love to get a chance to express your opinion to the Washington bigwigs who are trying to save the PO? Customer service and friendliness should be a top priority. We are doing them a favor using the PO, they could at least act appreciative and take care of our packages.

On to another rant...just opened a new bag of chick feed and the whole thing is powder

very few crumbles at all. I had to feed it, it is all I have, but I taped the bag up and am returning it.

I live in Byhalia, MS which is a small town compared to Memphis, TN, but alot more than 250 people. So kinda in the middle. I wish I was home when the mail came, I would offer my PO person some fresh eggs or something to try and suck up, lol

Or maybe I should take some to the PO and once again explain my situation and why I need them to hold certain packages. I dunno if that would help either, probably go in 1 ear and out the other. I agree, you would think they would care a little more since it's us that keeps them in business!
