WHAT YA GOT SWAP Chat Thread

Hobby Lobby opened here right before Christmas and it was crazy backed up traffic for weeks. I haven't had any interest in going there. Until NOW. Now, now, now when I can't I'm getting all anxious that I'm missing out on those fabulous rooster things. I want that serving tray!!! Funny how easy it is to lust after things you never even knew you wanted. Guess I know where I'll be going as soon as I get back!

Good morning swappers. Sorry for being so testy last night. I was exhausted and needed sleep. I know it is difficult to decipher intent on the internet and should have just kept quiet...but that is sooo not my style

- always leaping before I look.

Anyway, the books are for DD, she is reading book 1 on her e-reader right now and loves it. She wants to discuss what happens with me everyday

and begged me to start reading it too. I'm thrilled she is reading a real novel. If it takes sparkly vampires and cuddly werewolves to get her to read, I'm all for it!

You never have to justify a claim! As most know, I'm a teacher, and nearly anything that gets kids to read is a good thing. I'm glad she enjoys them. Breaking Dawn you may want to read first, some find the material in there unsuitable for students under a certain age.

I'd buy my boy the complete works of Barbie Doll and read right along with him if it meant he was reading something without a gun to his head. I've tried every genre, every subject matter. I got him to start "The Hunger Games" and he was really into it but then he just didn't' want to bother finishing. Very frustrating. I ended up reading the series alone. Highly recommend the first two, three is just ok.

If anyone else wants Twilight books, I have a never cracked open paperback set, still with their receipts for the now defunct B&N,that I keep forgetting to put on my page.

What design is the coin? If it has a car on it then it is the second one. If it has a casino then it is the first one I sent you. Hope they both arrive safe and sound. :) The P.O. said that the package was just delayed, so nothing should be stolen.

Joey - got the coin today!!

So swappers, if someone new wanted to get in on this what would be the best way? I don't want to stall the thread because I don't have much to offer. Faverolle barnyard mix eggs, egg cartons, farm animal plates, maybe a rooster figurine or two. How do you determine swap values? Is there any interst in these things?

Everything that you mentioned people usually snatch up as soon as they are offered. Your eggs would be 6++ eggs per swap. Egg cartons I think like 10 but not sure. Plates maybe 2 per trade, Figurine usually one per trade.

While I am jabbling I just want to say that I have to take a break from swapping, spending money on swapping instead of on college. I will be popping up every so often though. :)

You can find the Rio Rooster stuff on Amazon but it's pricey. And they don't have my serving tray. Which is good because if they did, I couldn't/wouldn't pay full price.

Yes, I found it on there and ebay but like you said pricey. There is a serving tray at my hobby lobby for $12. It is a rooster tray not the rio but it was cool. I had it in my hand to buy it but I am glad I didn't now. If your interested the next time I go.

It's the car not a casino.
