Good morning everyone.

I would like everyone to consider adding an item to our rules.

I think that we need to add as it is required that all swap items be mailed with delivery confirmation.

In the event that an swap item is lost in the mail, if there is a confirmation on the postal tracking that the item was accepted by the post office and not received then the person sending the package will be deemed as completing the swap. If an item is mailed without a delivery confirmation and is lost in the mail, then it will be required that additional items be offered & that choice be mailed to the person that did not receive the first item.

We have had both situations happen on the swap. I hope that everyone will agree that this will be a possible way to handle any problems in the future. Please make additional suggestion if you have some. I will be out for most of the day and evening but will check back tomorrow to see how everyone wants to handle this.

I do think that for the most part this will work. If someone is mailing say a giftcard and in a regular flat 44 cent envelope, the post office does not allow a tracking number to be put on it. If you mail first class package rate, you can or any other method I believe. Does that make sense how I worded this? I prefer to put a tracking number on my packages so that I can prove that I did mail it. Just my 44 cents worth!

It was already my understanding that everything was sent with DC. The addition of a resolution for lost items, looks great. Thanks for all you do to keep the swap moving smoothly!!

I have to say that I am guilty of sending some packages without Delivery Confirmation.

I do however always use it on Eggs.
I got into a bad habit of it when a couple people told me I didn't need a tracking #. I will start using them again.

The only time I sent something out without a DC was an envelope with a gift card in it. I might suggest we make an exception for gift cards. Other than that.. I think that it is very wise to spend a little extra to ensure peace of mind.. just my opinion of course.. I shall be a "forever swapper" either way.

My husband had emergency heart bypass surgery. He is in the hospital. If you bought eggs for 2/25 I did not send them out. If you want to wait he may be home Monday and I can probably start shipping again after that . If you want a refund please let me know and I will refund your money. I am truly sorry but I cannot think of anything but him right now.
