Glad they made it.. Some of those eggs are the last from me. I sold all the gold laced and reds and the buff laced rooster died on me Fri.

So left with the silver laced who have quit laying on me and my blues. Never a dull moment here. I think I have a few eggs on the counter here, I will incubate and hope to hatch a new BL rooster.
Beth, I have my Buff Laced in a Separate pen, except one silver laced hen. I can send you some eggs. Deb

Joey, that is good that you are going to try and file a claim. However with not much to go on you will be lucky if they refund your postage. So even if you get refunded you are only going to get a little over $1 back, what you paid in postage.

I feel that the right thing to do would be to put me on your "owe" list and when you are in a situation where you are able to start swapping again we can look at sending something again but this time with DC.

I think this is a good idea, and generous.

Okay, it looks like most are okay with adding the new information to the rules on delivery confirmation. I really don't like the thought of making a separate rule for mailing gift cards. I think you can still put delivery confirmation on them with an additional cost and it ensures that the item was sent and received.

Remember our rule has always been to send with delivery confirmation. The additional proposed information is if something is lost. With delivery confirmation the item will be considered mailed and meeting the swap rules and if the item is lost without a delivery confirmation then another item will be required to be sent.

I think most people on the swap have been wonderful people but what happens if we get someone that does get the item and says they haven't? By our new rule it says another item has to be mailed if the item is lost and no delivery confirmation is put on the item. There is no way to show that the item was received by them. Wow, I can get another item. Yippee, Skippy!!! or Let take it the other way. A gift card doesn't have to be mailed with a delivery confirmation so I offer a $20 gift card or wow a $50 gift card and just say sure I mailed it!!!!

Just trying to keep the few people that are always looking for I way to take advantage hopefully away from the swap.

Debi - Best wishes for a speedy recovery for your husband.

If you set up an account online at www.usps.com, pay for your labels online, and print them on your computer at home, then the DC is free, at least with priority mail. In my experience, priority is usually not much more, and sometimes less, than first class. There is also usually a discount on the postage when you pay online. You do need a scale to weigh your packages, but it doesn't need to be anything fancy, just reasonably accurate. As much mailing as we do, the discounts for paying online will more than make up the cost of the scale probably within a few months. When you do all of this at home, you can even request a pick-up and save yourself the trip to the PO (i.e. save money on gas!). You don't need a credit card either, you can use PayPal if you want to. It really is quite easy and cost effective.

I agree that all packages should have delivery confirmation, but I have had the problem before that the package i was trying to send was not thick enough to get one.

* USPS Delivery Confirmation on FIRST CLASS mail is restricted to items which are AT LEAST 3/4 INCHES THICK.

so if you are sending gift cards or other flat packages you might want to make the package thicker to get one.

I got into a bad habit of not using tracking numbers a few swaps back.

Hope I'm not banned from swapping.

There really isn't anything I can do right now, I stopped swapping last week bacause I am broke and can't afford to ship anything else. I really care about the people I swap with and the items they claim. I will file a claim tommorrow about your item Henthymes (dont know how much that will do though)
