2 of the 4 Silkies from Just Hatchin ~ Cupid (born on Valentines day) and unnamed chick.


Have 30 eggs from my swap friends that go on lock down Wednesday. Candled this morning and see movement in all but a few too dark to be sure. This could be my biggest hatch yet.

What kind of chicken is that? What a day! Just cleaned out the coops and sprayed Poultry protector on everything and every chicken. Figured it was about that time of year again. About to wear an old woman out. Got a white silkie roo "playing" big man with a small Barred rock. Guess it's time to seperate the youngsters. Poor girl just laid thier like she was going to die of shock. Had to scoot him away from the juvies. I guess I thought he was to young to get friskie.

Yes.... I know reese has chicks she just hatched and could direct you to the right person.
I will be working on some. My bantams have just stared laying, but are all running together. I have bantam Ameracaunas & bantam Marans, I plan to make bantam olive eggers also.

While I was visiting Nebraska, (the awesome FOGELLY family) chicken egg and chick sat for me. And he hatched out 4 Black Jersey Giants, 1 Black and white Serama,
2 Buff Orps and one Euskal Oiloa (Marraduna Basque). I think more Euskal will hatch soon. I am so tickled!!!!! Yup they all came from BYC members.
