WHAT YA GOT SWAP Chat Thread

Just eggs right now. I need to get my swap page redone. My birds are here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/gablebabble

Some are not laying, some are. Then there are some  (Sussex) who tease me daily..... I sometimes get 4 eggs from the pen, then the next day I get one..... So I am not taking any more orders / swaps on them until I fill what I have.

I'd love to have any of your EEs. Especially the barred ones!

We just got done building a whole new housing system and moved everyone in that part of the barn. I can let you know if I still get eggs from them. In my experince, they normally are off for a few days.
But I did get everyone separated, that was left to separate.

Took us two days to finish the building. Well everything but the frame and foundation.....

I'd love to have any of your EEs. Especially the barred ones!

I did not move the Blue Wheatons or the Pen with the Black Roo pictured on my page. I should have eggs from them before 3 today. No barred, I moved those guys. I should have some soonish. I can message you also when I do.

I have 5 or 6 eggs I am putting up on the 24 hour auction page. They are from the Black Roo's pen and the Blue Wheaton.

Good news, good news!!! 6 of the 7 eggs I got from Reesepoultry are developing!!! I thought for sure they had frozen! Amazing what they can withstand and still develop.... Keep your fingers crossed for continued development!

Yesterday, I noticed that only 6 of Prim's babies came out to eat. The 7th was still huddled up under the bench. I crawled under there to get him, and he didn't even attempt to get away from me. It's the baby Prim saved...

His comb was pale and bent over and he felt skinny. I took him into the heated kennel building and checked him out. His left foot is swollen. I think one of the adults hurt him. My daughter said the other day, Prim and the babies had gotten trapped in the outdoor run when the coop door accidentally closed, and when she let them back in, one of the adults, Scorpion, went after them. I wonder if that's when it happened. I gave him food and water in the brooder box in the kennel building, and he ate and drank right away, so I don't think he was able to get to the food and water with a hurt foot... Hoping he will recover if I keep him inside by himself for a while. Any suggestions for me??

Heat and his own food/water is the best for him. Maybe gently rubbing the foot (in case its swollen from frostbite) and put some anti-bacterial spray/cream on his foot. Hope he heals fast

Not sure how old he is, but you could also grab some Red Cell for him. DH gives it to the Games when ever they are down. We just had two of them get out and fight the other day.... BIG MESS!

I blow dried my first chicken btw.... interesting experience when your doing it to a game rooster, I must say. I also got grounded from the games and told not to baby them after bathing both of them, giving them strawberries and putting them in stalls with heat lamps...

I sure did. I seriously miss shopping and swapping. I am a woman on a mission to go shopping and find goodies for my peep swapping pals and I also have been trying my hand at sewing. (Pray for me LOL) I even have my boxes and tape ready.
with all this warm weather, I am feeling the spring cleaning coming on and I know I have a ton I need to post on here. May be a few days to a week. But I will get a moving. Miss y'all!
