#1 is a girl, I believe. #5 is definitely a boy. Maybe #3 and #7, too. I'd say #9 is a girl. Hard to say on the others. Boys will have spiky feathers in the crest, the girls will be more rounded.

About how old are the boys when they develop the spiky feathers in their crests? I have 4 stunning chicks I hatched from your eggs- they are 12 weeks today and all have rounded poofy crests. I know these are terrible pics, but wow - look at their patterns! My son's favorite is actually the black one with the white crest. The darned things refuse to stay still for pics!

No that's the weird thing! She doesn't want her eggs to be fertile anymore so she is selling all of her roosters. She is also willing to sell some hens but not together.
I want those birds...

Have someone else go buy some hens for you!

Hi WYG Swappers.

I'm 3 months on BYC today

So I'm getting ready to join in the swapping fun!

I have a couple ? s for the thread...

1.)I understand someone made directions on how to set up a Swap Page , if someone could post a link to that info. I'm ready to get mine done!

2.)So you know I sew Purses/Bags/Totes they are made from Burlap (upcycled from used Coffee Bean Bags) & Fabric ,
I have several styles, but each bag is unique as the coffee bags are stamped w/ diff. things & the fabrics are mainly from sample books so no two are identical.
I sell these items at a local craft fair from $10-40 each (the plain totes, unlined $10 - up to $40 on the large mesanger bags w/ mulit-pockets inside).
So my question is, should I note the amt I sell these for on my swap page to give ppl a frame of reference for swapping ? or should I just list the lower end items
that are more on par w/ 6+ eggs & put the higher end items in a seperate area for side swaps only?

so you know, right now I'll not have any eggs available.
But in late spring/early summer I expect to have small amt. of SQ/H. Buckeye eggs,
Later in the summer/fall I'll have a my pure Black Ame Roo over some BMC & BCMxAme EEs for LF EE/OE, and mixed colored Guineas.

What is did was offer a credit and no shipping charge in my Etsy shop. That way if people want to just get something around the price, or they can pay the difference. If your smaller bags are of equal value, than I'd say offer for small pay or credit to larger one.

Hello everyone.

I am back after a bit of illness.
I am physically feeling better but stuggling a bit emotionally but trying to remain strong.
Most of you know about me getting separated from my husband. and my daughter having a baby-
btw- Cyrus is doing well. I cant believe he is almost 5 months. he is eating food and trying to stand. he will walk before he crawls I am sure of it.

But i have had several biopsys and a D&C and the outcome is not good. I have been diagnosed with Uterine Cancer.
Just one more thing in my life. I will have surgery in March, and the Dr expects everything to go well and then I mostlikely will not need further treatments, as long as the cancer does not move anywhere else.

I wanted to come back and be surrounded by my friends here cause you all are the best

I will be sorting through my things as I go, and offering them for swapping. when i get the strength to do the sorting.

If you are on the look out for material I always offer coffe burlap bags, my parents are roasters and they don't have a use for the bags. I have LOTS.
Keep an eye out for me on the swap.

Sorry to hear you're still struggling. You've got to take one day at a time and do your best with it. Love the name Cyrus, hope he's a joy in your life you can turn to in blue times. I sure hope that the surgery removes it all, and that that will be the end of it!! Cancer is a B!!!!!
