hmmm, boy do i miss my chickens.
my daughter was on her way out the door with cyrus this morning (her father picks her up and brings her over to the other grandmothers house)
and michaella was like MOM! there is a chicken on our portch .... yup right up to the door wanting to come in the house

i run over and look and its "barbra" a barred rock hen. our "redneck" neighbors have a billion animals in their backyard. and some of them roam arround the trailer park where i now live.
anyways Barbara got a full slice of whole wheat bread to herself. n.n

well anyways, she cheered me this am, as yesterday was not a good one for me, and she made me smile, and it was just nice.

Is there anyway you could get a tiny coop and even just have 3 bantams? It would be really easy to convert a rabbit hutch for three banams and I see those on cl all the time for dirt cheap.

I tested a couple of my mix breed flock for fertility by putting their eggs in the bator. Well it's day 20 and they have pipped and are chirping like crazy, I am going nuts waiting. It's been 4 hrs and just my luck they will pop tomorrow when I'm at work till 7.
Anyway, these are the eggs you would get from me if any of you chose to claim eggs from me. I have to post a pic because one of the eggs hatching is from an ee that gives us GIANT green eggs. It's so fun hatching barnyard mixes because I am dying to know what they will look like and if I can guess who the parents are.

Oh and btw those are dirtier than my eggs normally are. That was a rainy day.

i would have to ask my landlord. I know other people in the park have cats and dogs and someone has rabbits, but I would have to ask him as i have a no pets lease...
though he has allowed me to have finches and guinea pig.

i will check with him in the spring. Maybe i can have a few bantams

So I need two sets of 6+ eggs for someone to send out on my behalf. Any takers?

I just moved my birds yesterday, so I don't know how well they'll be laying. I only got two eggs yesterday (plus maybe three in the prison coop), and I'm at one for today. :/ Otherwise, I'd ship one for you!
