Right now we have Bettacreek who is willing to take over as OP. Is there anyone else that would like to be OP? I asked Bettacreek to wait for a little while to see if there is anyone else that wants to take to swap over. We likely have a few people who have not seen the posts yet so we will give it a couple of days.

We have several people who are willing to help but not take on the OP position.

I've been out of the swap threads and 24 hr auction thread for a while since my girls stopped laying. Or rather haven't laid well enough to collect in time for fresh eggs. I'm starting to get more eggs now. But.......the 24 hr auction thread has been closed. I can't post but 1 auction at a time and was wondering if somebody has started a new thread or if anybody wants to buy some silkie eggs. I would swap but I need to get $$ in my paypal so I can pay for shipping at least and buy feed for my feathered friends. Can I post some on here for sale or is there a rule against it.

oh that looks bad. hmm i will pm you a photo of mine to have you see what you think.
it has swollen , red, and i am feeling bad today, though yesterday i did the following.
a. went to the grocery store to get formula for the baby
b. stopped at the drs to get a copy of the pathology report
c. walked from my trailer to the end of the parks driveway and back to get the mail.
d. cleaned my guinea pigs and finches cages out.

and then bam severe pain allnight long hit me pretty badly and i feel tired and just miserable in general run down kind of feeling.
no fever no vomiting, etc but the site is not getting any better. the area has been swollen since the surgery and the infection is not getting anybetter.
and the dr hasnt seen it. he talked to me on the phone. im in ny and he is a vt surgeon so he is not conserned with it at all, but it bothers me.

so anyway i will pm a photo i would hate to gross people out here with it.
and you can tell me what you think. if not better on monday i am calling them again, and if he wont look at it, then i will call my reg doctor and see if they will at least look at it and tell me if its nothing to worry about. or go to the hospital's er and have it checked out.

Where in the Adirondacks do you live? I used to live in Port Henry.

Meepit, I am not sure where your incision is, but have you tried soaking it in hot water and epsom salts? That always works great for me. Good luck!

I would be willing to do it if no one else wanted to just to keep the thread alive but if bettacreek volunteered that's great. I would rather not be in charge totally on my own. If whoever gets it needs help I'd be happy to do that though. Just let me know.

That was a BAAADDDD infection!!!

Are you kidding me!! I did try to get the nasty stuff out but it wouldn't come out, Mom and my sister were freaking out to stop, I wanted the pressure off so bad.

I had major surgery about 11 years ago and ended up with a bad infection. It had to heal from the inside out and it was my gut that was cut. It 'was pretty gross but I didn't do what I was suppose to either. I was at walmart shopping just 3 days after surgery. I got a staph infection and to this day I still get an infection in the area of the incision. So you need to get it taken care of ASAP. Go to the emergency room if you can't get into see your doc. You need probably have an infection and need antibiotics. Hope all gets well soon.
