Quote: My eggs aren't junky! Lmao....poor thing.. I will send ya some extras in your box if you don't have to have all silkies... I mean I'll send the silkies plus some other stuff if ya want!
and yes chicks eggs were one of my better hatches last year, though it probably helps that we aint thousands of miles away from each other

Kat doesn't sound like you kept any of mine though..lol glad they hatched good! I always try to pack really well.

I loved your sex links! They hatched super well.i sold them though. :/
I am still owed stuff from last year before spring!! One is barnevelders...I'm sure I won't get them now I had two breeds from one person seramas from someone who never sent them and then the barnevelders...are the bielefelders similar?

I just got jubilee eggs smashed to smithereens! I get it...I complained and they were replaced very nicely actually. I hope they hatch....when I pack I Try to make SURe I can throw the box across the room and no one catch it and not break the eggs. That's the idea anyway...lol:p

Haha!! That'd be pretty impressive!! :) I once got a box of eggs, packed in egg foam, in a box with newspaper around it, inside another box, with more foam and newspaper around it. Beautifully packed, none broke, but none hatched!! Lol, and then I once got some from an auction, didn't check and all but 2 were smashed/cracked, one of the cracked ones wasn't leaking so I patched it with white out, all 3 hatched!!! :)

I was wondering if you guys still used the chat thread. I sent chick among us a message buy I though I'd put it on here too, I had more hens go broody so I couldn't get her eggs out, I was getting 3-4 wheaten eggs a day but all of a sudden they decided they wanted chicks! Its been inthe high 60s here since before New year's, nice weather but its too dry the trees look like they're ready to bud, which is bad. Not exactly the way I wanted to start swapping again, but hopefully I can get them off the nest this weekend.

I sent you a. Message did you not get it?

I REALLY needed wheatens since a coon got in my wheaten pen... I don't need EEs since I have a bunch. I was going to just add the few you were going to send to supplement my EE pen for this year.
Was wondering if you could just collect this weekend from the remaining wheaten hens and send what they lay Monday or tues? I don't mind a few EEs just not a whole order of them...hope this helps ...I have EEs coming outta my ears, if three or four made it to adult hood that would be MORe than enough supplement my pen. I NEEd wheatens really bad now....:hit

The Bielefelders are a fairly large auto sexing chicken, like the rhodebars but bigger. Roos can get upwards of 12 lbs or more. Beautiful birds. and no, I didn't keep anything from the swaps last year....I figured I needed to ummmm....pick a couple breeds and stick with them, lol. If I hadn't I would have had to run a hundred different coops and chores would have taken at least 4 hours twice a day...lol

If I am not mistaken we were to have a side swap in fall for Jubie eggs....my girls Just started laying and I just got em sparated, but will have eggs available in about a month
