Hey folks, I'm gearing up for ramp season here in WV. If anyone wants any via side swapping, let me know so that I know how much to harvest. Not sure how the rest of the U.S. feels about them but people go crazy for them here

Ohhhh!! Ramps!! Ramps and fiddleheads!!

Ramps are wild onions. It's kind of a big deal here. We even have a ramp festival. I usually cook them with fried potatoes. And yes Chiqita, I love fiddleheads also. Ramps come up in early spring with the Molly mochers (moral mushrooms). I can spend all day in the woods during spring. I had to get new tires on my 4-wheeler last week so I can get to my patches.

Im jealous! My patches are now a carpet store and my other is a parking lot. My other spots are well known so its a race to get the morels, or the land has been sold to new owners.

I only have a 2 acre yard but I'm sandwiched between my dads and maternal grandparents. That gives me free range of over 1000 acres, 800 of it is wooded. I'm in heaven here.

Hey guys im fairly new here (from a different poultry forum actually) and I was wondering if anyone ever trades day old babies especially with it being that time of year. I've done hatching eggs but ive had bad luck with mailed eggs. I ordered over $150 worth of eggs off ebay and had disastrous results - but ive hatched tons of my own babies from my flock with no problems.

Shipping is quite steep on chicks so beyond the scope of the swap threads here. You might be able to find someone who is willing to change chicks for chicks. Or ask on your local where am I where are you? Thread.

Not that you can't ask here in case, but it is a much larger amount you are talking about.
