I have a silkie just like the one on the right. Was wondering if the color is considered buff or red. It is almost a year old and has not crowed or layed an egg. Both are buff. They are called golden silkies in Australia and that gives you an idea of colors. red buff is just very vibrant and often has partridge genes ( a LOT of chickens carry partridge, but those guys more so) Mo is expressing the partridge ( black on tail, black on neck) but its not very clear, so people will argue about if he is a buff/red/partridge or has autosuminal leakage. Ive got nothing.... I msut have 2 recessives somewhere. I will hope it is the hen I no longer have, lol.
