I received my duck eggs yesterday! All 6 in great condition, packaged beautifully. They went in the bator today... Can't wait!!!

How exciting, congratulations!! I'm still waiting for my eggs to be shipped, hopefully soon. I was hoping to get them settled into my incubator by no later than Tuesday since I'm leaving for Florida for a week on Friday.. My Dad will be watching them and keeping humidity up, but he's not one to be getting eggs from the post office and setting the incubator up. Keeping my fingers crossed they will be shipped out today !!

Chiqita...ive been slowly stalking this thread to snag more bresse eggs to go with the one I snagged a while ago...cant seem to be on when you are!!!! Im thinking I might say Ill take my batch Now! Lol

I have deer jerky. Tried some in soup the other day and I loved it.

Oh my goodness hearing all this made me crave jerky . I even handled some at the grocery but couldn't buy it... To many crazy ingredients .

I dehydrate along with canning. That way we always have food. Last month I tried to Dehydrate roast beef from the Deli. It didn't work to well but put it in the fridge and used it a week later in soup. However I have found that turkey meat and chicken from the Deli meats can last up to 6 months since it has little fat in it 1 year if its placed in the fridge.. I keep it that way on the shelf, then place it in the back of the fridge a few months after drying. Works great that way. And when I need meat I have it without having to head for the store.
