I don't think it makes a difference, what kind of boxes you use.
I myself, sent Jim 12 eggs, little over a week ago. I DID the box in a box style. USING the real USPS, priority boxes. ...AND even placed the eggs, in an egg carton, with LOTS of shredded paper inside the first box...then, lots more packing in the second box. I marked the box "fragile hatching eggs, x-ray ray, and this end up" all over that box, with big black sharpie marker.
Do you know that the USPS was still able to smash the boxes so bad, that he still lost 6 of the 12 eggs?!!
So, I don't think it has anything to do, with what boxes you use. It just depends on how the USPS wants to treat your box, on that shipment.
I myself, have had quite a few perfectly packed eggs shipped, that USPS was still able to break some eggs in. You almost have to pack eggs "fort knox" style, and even then...keep your fingers crossed, that they will make it to where they are being shipped to, in one piece.
This is true, some eggs can be broken no matter what. They do ship a lot of boxes, but I think the sturdier the box the better chance they have.
