I don't think it makes a difference, what kind of boxes you use.

I myself, sent Jim 12 eggs, little over a week ago. I DID the box in a box style. USING the real USPS, priority boxes. ...AND even placed the eggs, in an egg carton, with LOTS of shredded paper inside the first box...then, lots more packing in the second box. I marked the box "fragile hatching eggs, x-ray ray, and this end up" all over that box, with big black sharpie marker.
Do you know that the USPS was still able to smash the boxes so bad, that he still lost 6 of the 12 eggs?!!
So, I don't think it has anything to do, with what boxes you use. It just depends on how the USPS wants to treat your box, on that shipment.

I myself, have had quite a few perfectly packed eggs shipped, that USPS was still able to break some eggs in. You almost have to pack eggs "fort knox" style, and even then...keep your fingers crossed, that they will make it to where they are being shipped to, in one piece.

Since I just started playing, I think I am suppose to put on the chat thread that everyone received my items that I sent, so that my items can be shipped out, right?

This is true, some eggs can be broken no matter what. They do ship a lot of boxes, but I think the sturdier the box the better chance they have.

Hi, you shouldn't have to post that they were received so yours can be sent. Once you contact the person of whom you took their item with your address and what you took from their offer they should automatically ship your item out to you then email you with the tracking number for that package.

Glad to have you play'n with us!

I hate to jump on the beat up the PO bandwagon but FOR REAL?!?!?!? I'm going down there in person TODAY! The carrier didn't have the decency to come the few hundred yards down the drive. They stuffed two large flat rate boxes in the mailbox and LEFT the other one marked Fertile Hatching Eggs/Live Embryos in the SUN!
somad.gif
That is just ridiculous. Needless to say I'm pretty sure that the ones in the sun are done. I just put them straight into the bator because they were physically warm and I didn't want to take the chance of cooling them and then warming them again later...

Then the box that was FORCED and I do mean forced as I had to wrench it out, had 18 of 24 eggs damaged.

Of course the only box that wasn't damaged was one my mom sent that wasn't marked and had nonperishable items.

I'm just so frustrated. We pay good money for this service! I understand they have a high traffic rate and that there have been cutbacks. It just seems to me that I'd be doing my job seriously well if that were the case in fear of getting complaints and knowing that there are hungry people lined up behind me to take it!

over!

Jim I really hope those eggs make it to you okay. I wrapped each one individually and double boxed it. I'm really losing faith in the system.... but what other choice do we have really?!?!?

Thank you, I've had fun.

ha. I tried that. I got a box marked "HOLD FOR PICK UP" Please call --- --- ----

where was it when I got it? IN THE MAILBOX! Yeah. It is 100+ here and they leave it in the frickin mailbox, no phone call and no holding like it said. RIDICULOUS. I complained to the post master and she said she would take care of it. We pay high dollar to ship packages and they just trample and throw and chunk our precious cargo all over the place. Well, should we be surprised? Really? They are a government facility afterall.

On another brighter note: Frank and CoopScoop your packages are on their way, I told snelly and wormie to be nice to each other along the way.

OH and I got my AMAZING woodpecker decanter today! I am in LOVE. Though you got my hopes up labeling the box "Fragile Jars filled with Syrup..."

they took REAL good care of that box lmao. I think they didnt want to clean up that mess if they broke it LOL
