It just plain sucks.

I am buying a generator this year. If nothing else I need to be able to feed the kids and winter is coming. We don't have wood heat....we rent or I would install some improvements. Can't wait to be able to build our own place.

I went without power to my bator for 12 hours one time but luckily I was only on day 2-3 so it did them no harm...believe me..owning your own home sucks -just in other ways! hahaha last month our washer/dryer/ and dishwasher all pooped the bed! Our septic had to get redug and fixed...and now we have the new roof needing to go on before Winter because of it leaking now!

I understand about special eggs.... ordered some eggs- $31 including shipping- they sent extras so I got 14. they were double boxed- none broken....
most of them never developed. Due to hatch the 11th is just 3 that I started with. 3/14. Then I am telling them that when they hatch they need to be girls LOL.

I have 2 brinsea eco 20s so everything was stable, temp and humidity.... but things happen probably the shipping. GRR
