Well you take a big hosta and wash it in really hot water....


No seriously it is just a classification for hostas that don't get big. For example I got the Little Red Rooster hosta, it gets to be only 6 inches high and about 12 inches wide.

And they grow fast, so littler when hatched, of course.

I should not of seen this pic. These are too cute for words!! How big do they get? And how big of an enclosure would they need?

Hey. City ordinances only specifies chickens. It says NOTHING of quail!

Exactly, and they are quieter than chickens. Depends on which type you get how big they get. There's a whole thread on them with info on how to keep them. Hatch along Sept. 1st.. Join us!

If I am not mistaken I think button quail need to be kept indoors unless you have a heated barn.

Yeah, I used to keep them in the walk in runs with the cockatiels and parakeets down in the basement in Canada, eh?
