Have you checked Home Depot or Lowes. They usually have lots of cactus's to choose from.

Is there any way we can edit the first post of the swap thread to reflect the shipping issue? I've been sending everything Priority. If I had known I could have sent some times another method, I could have participated in more swaps!

Really, Hmm... Ours carries them all year long.

I would get cactus plants locally. You can transport scary spiders or bugs that will go crazy in a different environment and over produce. Every story I have heard involves a poisonous reaction to a sting and a hospital visit. I'm happy to ship to anyone here in Texas but that's kind of like being from Canada and getting a box of snow in the mail. If you give me info on collecting seeds those I'm happy to send if you pay the postage. We have red, yellow, and purple flowered prickley pear and the spineless.

Yoda, I was told that the edges of the paper sometimes get stuck in the machines. As long as you tape the seams it shouldn't be an issue. I wrap some of mine in the brown paper liners from feed bags when I need to reuse a flat rate box;-)

I was told that you are not allowed to wrap up priority mail boxes and ship them any other way but priority. They told me that is why the boxes are free. If they are priority mail boxes they must be shipped priority mail. They may also be what the problem is.

I do ship priority , but the boxes that are not flat rate are too flat to put eggs in, so if I get a good box I reuse it. I have not had much luck requesting supplies from USPS. Now I am becoming a box hoarder:rolleyes:
