Bribed & threatened with the crock pot.
The have had eggs, turkey, chicken, green beans, oatmeal muck (oatmeal, buttermilk, yogurt & seeds left over from my inside birds & flax seeds) Nutri-drench, all our left overs, etc.............. They have lights.
I don't know what else to do.
I have not tried cat food....dry or canned ?
The only ones that catch a break are the molting ones, the rest need to step it up !!!
I buy 25 pound bags of dry cat food and add it to their scratch. What has your weather been like? Deb
Ok.... we will try some cat food with their scratch. The weather has been pretty nice. 80 yesterday....mid 70s today. 30-50 nights.
I got a Wellie egg today.
I only have the 1 hen, she is cooped up with the B/W Ams. and an OE. Nice little dark brown pullet egg.
Good girl !!!!
I went out staring at birds. I do have several molting. They get a free pass. But the Polish
they have NO excuse. They have not laid in 2 months now. Sizzles and Austrolorps quit too. Seramas are laying sporadically.
They are all healthy, lice/mite free. Wormed end of Oct.
I will take a deep breath and have patience. I will pray to be over loaded with chicken eggs.
1 banty just went broody.....that will be their next trick.
