Deb.... I have a chick

It is yellow & black, so I guess SLW.

Another egg is pipped marked SLW.

HenThymes.... I have a green egg pipped from you.

AND I GOT MY FIRST EGG FROM MY SL POLISH PEN.

I have a SLP rooster with 2 SLP hens & 3 WCB hens. It will be set with some eggs I am expecting tomorrow.

Got my first egg from my standard Cochins today. I know they are fertile I have seen the boys doing there business for the last couple weeks.

Congrats. I just candled my Gold Laced Polish's eggs. She is fertile as are my Wellie rggs. They both have been laying about 2 weeks. The Polish pair are penned separate from the layers. The Wellie is in with the laying flock right now. Maybe my Black Ameraucana, BCM, or Wellie are the daddy.

Just because it didn't develope doesn't mean it was unfertile. It could mean several differant things. Like Incubator problems, Shipping problems, Too cold, Too Hot, even air cell being detached.

Unfortanately we are relying on the post office to get the eggs to us intact. Which doesn't always happen. Glad you got 8 little babies from this hatch. Once they start laying you will have tons of quail running around.

These were not shipped, so can not blame PO,

these were eggs laid by the chicks I hatched from eggs sent by you and JenLyn. I wanted to see if the boys were getting the job done before time to set for the New Year's Day hatch. It's a wonder they get anything done the way they are in almost constant motion

But whatever the reason, I am happy with my 8 newest additions to the menagerie.

hmm..... My little buggers are constantly bugging the girls. Hence why I got some saddles for them from Edna (Emvickrey) They were plucking them poor girls.

Are they leaving the little white foam everywhere yet. If they aren't that could be why. Once they start leaving them every where you should be good to go.
