I hope you find your dog Reese!! The SPCA here has a database where you can list a lost or found dog. You might want to check to see if your local shelters have such a thing. You can't access it youself to look but when a lost listing and a found listing may be a match, they contact you.

Great dog, Yoda. He looks a lot like the one I found in December that I STILL haven't found a home for. I guess they all kinda look alike though.

Maybe because of the holiday someone was just waiting to turn her into a shelter or something. Keep up hope, and I know you'll keep looking.

so i may be getting a cabinet incubator in a couple months...

was wondering what people use here... and maybe pros and cons of say

a sportsman vs the brinsea ova-easy.

and i'm trying to figure out how many eggs they can hold- i will be hatching mostly bantams so was wondering if bantam eggs are the size of phesants or partridge the brinsea site doesn't list bantam eggs. but lists everything else.

then i of course have been looking at a poultry box brooder... any one use one of these?

i'm mostly just dreaming LOL but thought i would get peeps opinions.

I was reading past posts on the bag issue,10 to 12 is a fair swap, when i buy bags outright i pay 50 cents a bag, plus shipping, the cost is usually 1.00 a bag, ship wrapped in paper. When ever i make a tote or purse there is a lot of time and some money involved,I do not make a killing, wish i did,i give a lot to the no kill shelter in Ohio. When ever i ship to some states the cost is higher,it is the the price we pay to swap nation wide.

with the bags I offer what I have available and its up to the taker if they want them or not. I usually have at least 6. but priority shipping is usually cheaper than parsel post and I try to get them in a regional A box if it is cheaper for me. I tried the last time to wrap in paper and ship and it was cheaper in a box. so it depends. I guess it is up to the taker.

I was wondering if anyone would want jasmine rice bags? I don't get them a lot- but they are yellow and have a photo of rice on them, etc. i get a bag a month or so from sams club. i could offer them up with my feed bags. just a thought.

I had anything to swap and swapped for bags, the shipper could cut off the bottom sewn part right at the thread, to save space and weight. When, I use the bags, I cut that part off anyway....just a thought.

I don't mind the shipping cost. I've become more homebound and swapping greatly helps me stay more connected to the outside world. We've been very fortunate this year and I cannot do the charity I used to do in person so my slightly higher shipping cost doesn't cost more than the gas I used to spend to go volunteer. I do worry that the po will smash the hay out of them but so far so good.

If the puppy is chipped, they can scan him but if he doesn't have the same chip as the system they use then they won't see his chip. I have my dogs chipped twice because there are two chip systems in my area. They have a keychain tube like heart patients carry their emergency nitro in where I can type a piece of paper with a lot more info than the simple dog tags have space for. You can see what I mean on Amazon "Waterproof Airtight Pill Fob Holder Med Rx Box Keychain" I hope he's found soon and is just on a little adventure.

I do agree that several bags would be a good swap. They are just one more thing to burn or pay to have disposed of. I could make bags but don't due to the higher cost of needles for the rougher sewing and the wear and tear on the sewing machine. When you calculate your time alone on those sorts of projects you are already in the hole and then if you stop and think about your machine, ouch! I just had two repaired for $150 each and one was from sewing something odd like that which a sewing machine was not intended for. I do my sewing for the enjoyment of it and probably make about fifty cents an hour doing it.
